wtf I looked it up and it's true. This reminds me of how he was on twitter at 3am and people were shitting on him for that but in TAoTD he was said to be on the phone at midnight. I wouldn't doubt that was either pared back to make it seem less insane (3AM phone calls in the 80s???) or it got worse over time.
It feels like every "surprising" thing this guy does has some level of precedent in how he was years ago, yet the celeb-gossib journos just somehow "forget" and treat it like it's out of the blue.
