It's real art but also the overwhelming majority of it is bad art, and most people making it have no real interest in improving at their AI skills (and no I don't just mean PROOOMPTING) any more than the lower portion of this image cares about making better hand-done art.

As something of a coomer artist myself, the rich weirdos REALLY aren't satisfied with just (again: JUST as in ONLY) having bogstandard low effort AI art. They desire something with more pizzazz, usually. And often wanna give people money to keep their craft going.

The actual people in danger of losing out are those who can't fucking finish a commission within a reasonable time period, or who are trying to get 15$ "i will draw you and your wife as anime characters" type commissions.
