Nta, but when i was in highschool they used to teach us technical drawings, which is the stuff used in engineering. Nowdays it's replaced by autoCAD programs so no need for paper and pencils.
It all about trying to build a 3D environment and portray the object faces on every axis, the result is a blueprint on how it's built. Ortographic projection (pic related on left) being the most basic shit you could do, the isometric stuff on the right is a different technical drawing called axonometric projection.

But i don't think you actually need technical drawings, they're very rigid stuff made with set squares, rulers and compasses with a lot of boring rules, you don't use perspective with points because you need these drawings to design stuff, not to look good.

The result in a work of visual art would be bad.
