Even if you just draw and "never improve" to keep the meme alive you will still get shit done you will still get content out and develop the habit and discipline of working on things. That is improvement anyone can use in any situation. And then once you get to the point where you have no choice but to start proper study and improvement you will have an easier time doing that.
