I feel like James Baxter is something of a meme answer for 'great animator' these days.
Is he a good animator? Sure. But - no cheating now - what exactly has he done outside of that one episode of Adventure Time?
Fuck, even if he has worked on great shows, and has had a long and storied career, would those productions really have suffered without him?

He seems like a solid and dependable workhorse, but I don't think he's comparable to the Nine Old Men, or Don Bluth, or the other greats you listed him with.
