More important than weapons is keeping a supply of foreign currency in low denominations, commonly abused pharmaceuticals, imported liquor, Asian or Western cigarettes and bags of rice. The rice is for locals, since they go fucking nuts for a bag of a rice and will straight-up bitch-slap children into the dirt to get some. The currency is for police and military, since $20 USD can just buy you permits that'd normally take days to be filled. The drugs are armed groups like militias, SDFs and gangs, who'll instantly take a liking to you if you get their buddies high on your supply. Smokes and booze are for local elders and leaders who're too classy for meth and ketamine, but who you still want to bond with.
