Memes aside 7.62 Tok is an infinitely better pistol round to actually kill instead of reliably wounding like the 45 is known for.

The problem is 7.62 tok never got adopted into a modern pistol frame, and the Russian/chinese tokarev is an over preforming pistol with terrible ergonomics. You can tell it was ment to shoot political enemies in the back of the head rather than be a war sidearm. It’s very hard to properly grip with man hands because it’s so thin and the grip is incredibly short. Follow up shots are harder because of how 7.62 kicks in a frame you physically can’t grip as good as you should be able to.

I’d be very curious to see peoples opinions on the cartridge if my wet dreams come true and we get a bigger pistol with a double stack mag made for it.

I feel like the Tokarev pistol and the 7.62x25 cartridge should have at least as big a fan club as the 1911 and .45acp.
