Your picture is a MD550 Mystère Delta, aka Mirage I.
It never went past the prototype phase. Never was offered to anybody.
The Mirage III did its first flight in 1956, passed mach 2 in october 1958 (without rocket assistance, with it, it went mach 2.2) and entered service in 1961 as the IIIC, the first squadron being operational in January 1962.

Two years too late for the German tender, yes indeed.

The IIIC was equipped with a pair of DEFA 552 30x113mm guns with 125 rounds each so no idea where your accusation of being gun-less comes from.
The IIIC featured the Matra R.511 and R.530 missiles in 1962.

Not in 1967 I'm afraid. The jet still performed quite well which is why France sold 1400 Mirage III in total.
