Enjoy being suppressed into a small room long enough to eat a frag.
You're not going to always have the time to line up the perfect shot to put a round right in the guy's face, and sometimes the best you can do is quickly unload 15 rounds in the direction of whoever just shot the first guy in.
Sometimes it's just safer to pour out 5 rounds into the guy staring you down from across the room just in case his plates catch the first two rounds you pop off at him.
Not everything gets to be broken down into situations like the Iranian embassy siege, sometimes it's just a brutal room to room slugfest where trying to get a clear shot at the guys dug in to the rubble next door just gets you shot.
The SAS is right in their assessment given the context they're usually deployed in.
That assessment isn't applicable to every situation however.
