no one has made a UGV that performs as well as a manned tank
and all the advantages of a UGV being unmanned is not nearly as big of a saving in ground warfare, since it still needs to operate in tandem with infantry, and it needs humans to get it unstuck or to perform maintenance
so a UGV still needs a few people near it at all times, so might as well have the people inside it already
