In the United States, while the gun laws are generally permissive the ones that do exist are written, interpreted and enforced by absolute psychopaths. There is no such thing as a "whoopsie, whatevs don't worry about it" type of situation. If you fuck up a fed gun law they absolutely will go to any length to find you and the MINIMUM is 10 years in federal prison. There are laws from the 1930s that were passed by mistake where even doing something that looks like it might in some way approach resembling possibly thinking about breaking it WILL get your house burned down, your dog shot and your asshole reamed by Bubba until you die.

Yeah well unlike in those strict countries you have protections and can fight it in court and there are organizations who will fight against this shit and it is an enshrined right compare to those countries where they can just ban anything they want when they want and you can’t do anything about it and they take it
