First mistake. You need to publish consistently and to market which means writing a lot. Doesn't have to be slop but it is easier to make money with market oriented stuff like erotica, romance, litrpg/progression, "cozy" (books where nothing happens)
Getting a good back catalog going is key. Think like a pulp fiction author.

Probably not enough in the sci fi/fantasy sphere. 80k+ words are expected. Romance is shorter, erotica can be ~10k shorts.

Amazon KDP is the go-to. Alternatives include Smashwords, D2D. Check out eroticauthors, selfpublish on reddit for advice. Alternatives include selling PDFs on your website, gumroad, etc.

Now keep in mind that treating writing as a job will probably ruin your vision of yourself as an author, and likely make you hate writing altogether at times.
