Not really. It's great for the weapons sellers and such but the finance sector didn't traditionally get anywhere near the amount of cut on that as they could.
American military financing is the most progressive sort in government really, if the government wants to increase budget it just does and none of it is "pre-funded" or result in political debates about "unfunded liabilities", etc there's no worry about where the dollars are going to "come from".
Imagine if America set up some way to "pre-fund" future wars or something. Than you could have the financial sector come up with lovely schemes like with privatizing social security but no one seems interested in doing that in the same way lol

Eisenhower in the first draft used the term military–industrial–congressional complex... most of that spending went to the South and has to do with all the post-WWII growth there taking it from backwater to more developed FYI... pic related is good on that
