ah true, i forgot that everyone has government mandated tv webcams. if you are talking about phones thats only because people wanted to buy them. cellphones didnt have cameras by default or by government mandate, its just the natural evolution of the vanity of humanity
or did you mean the metaphorical "the government watches you at home"? because if so thats an obvious prediction. mr orwell himself worked for the british intelligence spying on his own people, he already knew what the future would hold, no predictions necessary.
