Just off the top of my head, some similarities:
>The Ring (obviously, even Tolkien acknowledged this)
>Ownership of the ring resulting from fratricide
>The ring as an object desired by everyone, corrupting those who wield it
>Magic artifact made by/for the bad guy turning the wearer invisible
>Dragon guarding a hoard of gold
>Sword that was broken being reforged to fight the bad guy
>Grey bearded wanderer helping out the heroes when he can but restricted by his own power
>Guide to the hero betraying him at the last moment to gain the ring
>All that was made with the power of the ring coming undone when it is destroyed

Though Wagner and Tolkien both relied on the same myths/sagas there's clearly more to both than "there's a ring and that's it"
