D&D is a game and not a subculture. You leave it in the kitchen or basement. Same thing for Magic The Gathering. There are no visual identifiers for D&D and MTG players.

Correct, hip-hop coming along and exploding into popularity definitely helped steer people away from other genres of music. Goth music was never massive anyway, even at its peak. Also you simply can not be goth unless you like goth music, even if its a little bit. Many people don't like goth music once they hear it.

Again with the paleness, this is wrong. Paleness have never been a requirement to be goth. That's like saying you can't be into black metal unless you wear corpse paint. It's makeup, lighting, and photoshop that makes people look pale. Again I'm an actual goth and see goths irl. Vast majority of them are not pale...it's makeup. I've also seen black goths apply makeup that gives them a pallor that matches their own skin tone. I've seen black metal heads wear corpse paints.

No one is telling "white stories" within the goth scene it's not a race thing. It has nothing to do with race at all, black goths literally helped start the genre and sub-culture.

I never said that they didn't. Goth bands typically love spooky shit too. Just that the Satanic Panic (which was all bullshit) helped steer large swaths of people away from the music and scenes, and still has an affect on people's opinions of goth and metal.
