This is a completely different Electra, the one from Euripides. I read Sophocles’ Electra and Orestes as well as Aeschylus’ Oresteia before. Either Sophocles’ or Aeschylus’ was more focused on Orestes paying for his blood guilt of killing his mother and atoning to the gods (He is let off because it is ruled the mother is the weaker and unnecessary of the parents as Athena the personification of wisdom was born of Zeus’ head with no mother- wisdom is born of men and not women).

Euripides’ Electra is different because it is more centered on Orestes and Electra killing Clytemnestra.
