Can you explain to me the /lit/rpg audience? I genuinely don't understand the willingness to spend that much money, with quotes such as

I read some Star War novels and I wasn't as confused and disgusted as I am here. At least I understand the market for Star Wars: I don't understand the market of people who want sophomoric writing about video game worlds/ideas their intimately familiar with, explored in the same setting/way.
