Western science agree with eastern religions, both materialistic normie science and esoteric spiritual parapsychology but to different degrees. For starters neuroscience has proved many of the benefits of meditation and yoga practiced by easterners. Parapsychology (eg Real Magic, by Dean Radin) has proven the supernatural through laboratory experiments, for example using Buddhist priests to bless drinks.

It is only Abrahamic pseudo spirituality that has held human progress back, and now it's outgrowth of materialism is doing the same.
The truth is that Pagan, Perennial, Occult and Esoteric religion is the reason for much of our science. For example the scientific revolution from Copernicus to Newton was influenced by Hermetism, Pythagorianism and Neoplatonism. They also practiced alchemy, magic and astrology.
In more recent times the greatest scientists also expressed favorable ideas about such traditions, Feynman for example attended parapsychologist meetings.
