are you baiting me or just retarded? More recent entries (IBO, G-Bitch) are trying to step away from this but in general Gundam is an allegory of the modern Japanese (protagonists, eg Argama, ArchAngel, White Base, etc) torn between an expansionist imperial foreign government that isn't necessarily evil but obviously doesn't have their best interests in mind (EFF/Titans/etc as a standin for America) and space-fascists with a strong sense of pride (Zeon/ZAFT/etc as a standin for imperial japan) who have some legitimate gripes with the EFF but are far to aggressive and prone to commiting acts of genocide on a whim. Reluctantly they are forced to side with EFF as the obvious lesser of two evils but along the way they get frustrated with the bilateral reluctance to solve disputes nonviolently and gradually begin to realize they are puppets of the EFF and subject to disposal as soon as they no longer provide a net benefit to the war effort. Gundam is a plea to the world to find a better way to resolve disputes.

SEED is the worst in this regard, all Kira et al ever do is try to force peace by having even bigger guns than the belligerent parties, which leads to escalation as both sides see him as their enemy and feel pressured to develop better weapon systems to defend against the latest iteration of Freedom. Destiny seems to be self-aware and there's a great scene where Athrun explains to kira that all he's ever done is prolong the war by preventing either side from gaining the upper-hand and turning it into a WWI-esque unending stalemate but Kira goes right back to doing the same thing anyways and never learns his lesson. And in Freedom the villains are entirely 1-dimensional and the solution is to get better Mobile Suits and whatever the fuck proud defender's giant laser-slice thingy is called, as if the obvious next step isn't for ZAFT and EA to try to make their own version.
