My mistake, sorry anon. Usually the OVAs were recommended in one batch (08th, then Pocket, then 0083) so I keep forgetting this information. I don't think it would hurt to watch it sooner, and it's not like 0083 and so many other cases where going by production order really helps you in light of knowing what comes after (0083 should really be watched AFTER Zeta, because you'll know what those Federation and Titan fucks are actually doing). I THINK 08th is one of those exceptions where you can watch it at any point after being familiar with 0079, but you're doing something good by sticking to production order. Almost always always, production order is king.
