Look, genetically, all that magical-offspring shit is cope. Your genetic lineage has ended. That which comes out of that dragon/pony will have no relation to the endless instinctual line of genetic propagation leading from the first cell tot he end of time. It's a new thing, but not really a new thing, because the magic you used provided the instructions for this particular result. Whatever comes out, it's not your child in the same way, and it doesn't hold the significance which drives your genes to force parental feelings onto you. If you should manage to feel a parental bond, it is a misfire of your imperfect instincts in a scenario which they were not designed for.

Maybe you need that. Maybe this science experiment is enough to satisfy you. If that's the case, you could have just adopted, because that's not really different. Even a perfect new human resulting here would be more of a clone than anything, but we're talking about creating a dragon-human hybrid here.

And that's without even assuming your sperm had to be altered in order to make it compatible with dragon eggs.

If you're letting your freek flag fly to such a degree, you've already given up on your connection to the sacred rite of genetic progression.
You're doing it because it's fun. And if that's what counts, it hardly matters if you succeed. Have your fun. that's the answer, and chug fire-resist potion, or don't, and alter your sperm's genetic contribution with magic, or don't. Adopt, or don't. It just doesn't matter..
