Well, obviously this isn't that kind of show. I don't know what you're expecting.
But it has just enough flair to spark your imagination, as its characters and setting lend themselves to a thousand different things.
Watching the show and then exploring fan works is also worth it.

Sometimes the fandom teaches you the right way (or the one that's best for you, to be more exact) to appreciate the show.
That happened to me; I watched like 5 seasons, but it didn't drive me that crazy until I delved into the fandom, and it taught me multiple ways to appreciate it.
