This kind of dynamic is reached with cars at a certain amount of transit
Even if you made 12 lanes per side you'd still have traffic and congestions
Because fundamentally you are dealing with individual drivers and even if they were all self-driving cars the same problems and new problems making life worse for everyone would still persist
Roads have a certain transport density
Once a certain threshold is reache you are conduction limited and even if you add a mind-boggling amount of lanes it wont work
The only way to solve traffic is to have viable alternatives to cars which is better for both those still using cars and those that now have a better, more convenient mode of transport
