It's fairly common, I did not find anything on the exact technical implementation. Nevertheless there's a bunch of options. If it's possible to scale up the technology they use to make cell phone chargers AC voltage agnostic it wouldn't also be much more expensive. If not they can brute-force it by making the relevant parts of the power-train redundant/adaptive. Like transformers with multiple taps, etc.
