The DNC delegates voted for her. That's how candidates are chosen. Its important to remember that the alternative to galvanizing the party around Harris would be to have an open primary months before an election and just cross your fingers and hope that one of them wins over the electorate. Each choice was a calculated risk but an open primary was a larger one.
