RFK was part of the anti-vaxers who saw two kids seemingly die from the vaccine (it turned out later a pair of nurses had fucked up and mixed the vaccine with muscle relaxant instead of a normal diluting agent) and hyped it up as an example of vaccines being dangerous. He partied with anti-vaxxers and talked to their health officials in the middle of a period of public distrust. The vaccination program didn't go up, a measles outbreak happened, and 80+ people died.
