It's not ending the war.
Israel wants greater Israel, which means taking Syria and Egypt. They've been trying to do this shit for sixty years. Which means they will probably try again in the coming decades. Trump is merely taking credit for Israel deciding to settle on turning Gaza into a rubble pit and bombing Damascus.

You need to start asking yourself why Israel, after the most pro-Israel president won the election, has decided to end the war prematurely. Both Republicans and Democrats support Israel 110%. The only major difference is that 50% of dems constituency believe Israel is committing genocide.
Israel has only managed to exist as a state, despite all its terrorist shenanigans, because it has the unwavering support of the US congress. Nothing has changed on that front. They will simply wait a few decades until people forget before waging more war.
