If this turns out to be a Republican shooter, it would be dumb as fuck to give up partisan talking points to try and rope them into insincere hug it out bullshit. Best case scenario, Dems miss an opportunity to hit them on this and they dodge any culpability. Worst case scenario they just tell you to fuck off and lie that it's a trans illegal muslim Dem like usual and then accuse the victims of being corrupt so even making the effort to reach out to them makes you look like a weak fuckwit.

Republicans want to have a come to Jesus moment, they can feel free, but until then togetherness is the last damn thing this country needs. We'd be stronger if Republicans and their shitty world views were consigned to the ash heap of history.
