Other once-hated cars like the Aztek are now also liked either because muh Walter White, or also due to their ironic appeal (it also helps that, instead of standing out as an ugly POS, it almost blends in with the modern CUVslop of today)
They might've been hated in their day but I can't think of any cars of the era that were and are still truly loathed except for the Prius - and in most cases the older '00s models are now exempt as most are just old, cheap, high mileage beaters with yellowing headlights and fading clearcoat.
