I neither hate nor love the LS swaps of FDs but I didn't and won't swap mine because it's nice and pretty original. If you are shooting for reliable LS power (an easy 400hp all day with no special treatment) I disagree on

Single turbo or pricey upgraded twins are necessary to make 400hp and single turbo done cheap blows up like 90% of the time. With rotary you do not cheap out unless you don't care about blowing it up. It's not like turboing an E36 which you can do with chinabay parts and make 400whp all day on a stock unopened M50 and a megasquirt. You slap an ebay kit on an REW and you blow it up. You're gonna rebuild it to make sure nothing is wrong with it and it has new coolant seals at the very least, spend $2000 on a haltech with harness adapter, $1000+ plus on upgraded injectors, pump, FPR, rails, $500+ on a manifold, $300+ on wastegates, $2000 on a ball bearing turbo, $1000 on an upgraded intercooler (cheaper if you can fab your own but 99.7% of /o/ can't even afford a tig welder let alone learn how to do it) and $2000 on an exhaust (see above). Making LS power with an FD is not cheap that's why people started swapping them. And now a crate REW is $10000!
