no dude it's not a grass is always greener type situation. the only reason there's less regulation out here is by pure necessity. you can't just have a daily out here that stays clean like it does out west, it's going to rust to shit whether you like it or not. it feels like a complete waste to even enjoy cars in the midwest when they deteriorate so quickly. not to mention out west cars would just be one hobby rather than my only hobby. i'd be on /out/ instead of /o/ and shit

an exhaust ticket is cheaper than the physical toll the midwest takes on your car, and personally i'd rather have scenic cruises than a track in a random field
