Talk to your neighbor. Show them pictures of the dead/dismembered chickens. Make it very clear that their pet is killing yours, and that you WILL be putting out traps to prevent repeats of the issue.

Actually put out live traps. If the neighbors do right, apologize, compensate you for lost birds, and take control of their pet, then these will never see use. If the neighbors are cunty about it, well now you've live-caught the dog, have evidence, and can drop it off at your county's kennel.
Do not return the dog to the owners; bring it to your appropriate animal control shelter. Though said neighbors will be pissed and treat you like the fun police "BCUZ MY DOGGOS IN DOGGO JAIL", just remember, and remind them, that they had been warned, and had every opportunity to control their pet.
>Step 3
If they don't contain their dog after having to deal with a trip to the pound (any sane owner will at this point), then you can start putting out lethal traps, and start following advice like >>2779309, >>2779286, and >>2779459 give.
