Even in an apocalypse LARP zombie fantasy, wouldn't normal backpacking serve you better because you can move significantly faster, for longer, carry more, at better efficiency, all for the consequence of being unable to get into an assault rifle fight with another psychopath in his secure Bass Bro Shop Mad Max fortress ?

It's easy to make fun of LARPers, but serious though, if I can move faster, easier, on fewer calories, won't I last longer in muh end of times carrying a backpacking setup and like a small set of bolt cutters?
