If you life anywhere along the red line, north of 35th, congrats. You live in possibly the best spot in Chicago. Even better if you're closer to Clark/Lake where you get the entire city for access and ORD. Anywhere else? You're shit out of luck for good transportation unless you live near a train stop. Then it's somewhat liveable. Then you've got the infamous Illinois corruption. Wanna own property? Pay some of the highest fucking taxes in the country because city and state are broke as shit. Imagine owning property around Hyde Park. paying for the privelege to get shot
