This is how I feel, except it's been more like 20 years. I remember reading Alex Jones Infowars articles and watching his documentary movies in which he claimed that Americans would be put in newly built FEMA camps. Most of this started right after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Will it happen? I don't know. Maybe? I feel like it would've been way easier to round people up and put them in camps 2 decades ago when more people trusted the government compared to today, when almost no one on either side of the aisle trusts the government.

It just seems like as members of the "radical right" become middle-aged, they start acting like Alex Jones did when he became middle-aged 2+ decades ago. We've known since the Snowden revelations 15 years ago that the government is basically spying on literally all electronic communications. Why waste more energy worrying about it now when it's been happening for a generation already?
