There is no investigation. The investigation is long done. Epstein was apparently a pretty bookish guy who kept a lot of records. It's all there to see and to be released. You seem to have a very naive understanding of the function Bondi and Patel fulfill. They are not independent actors. They are there solely to execute the will of DJT. If the records aren't being released, it's not because they bungled an investigation that concluded six years ago -- it's because DJT doesn't want them to release the documents.
