And all of that has a liberal bias -- though to be fair, with the cooking shows at least, probably not so much, but still.

And this is where the bias is going to be the most obvious. Why should taxpayers who hold conservative (or anything other than Left-wing) beliefs be forced to subsidize state-funded propaganda they don't agree with? And if you do happen to be Conservative or whatever, you're against state-run media as a matter of principle, no matter what bias it has, but especially when it has a bias against what you believe, which PBS and NPR most definitely do. State-run media with a Conservative bias isn't something that Conservatives would ever support in any case, but if such a thing did exist it would probably be promoting Christian values and things like that, which would similarly piss off liberals. They would feel pretty much the same way as we do about it and how it promotes their secular "woke" stuff to people, especially to children. Sesame Street promotes a lot of LGBTQ+ and other stuff which Conservative parents probably don't want to have pushed on their kids. Sure they can just shut it off and never watch it, but why should they be forced to subsidize this crap?
