I don't think anyone should demonize anyone unnecessarily. The idea is to inflict discomfort or encourage harm to reduce some other bad effect. It's doing a bad thing to prevent even more bad things but the actors involved are all human, not robotic machines or violent animals that are not able to understand anything useful.

I don't, there are no separate morality. If morality is a thing, given all relevant information, two person would have exact same moral detection in their mind for that particular disconnected case, this is different from abstracted/theorized conclusion. I have no particular reason to think I have a faulty system.
