the question of why homosexuality exists despite the obvious selective pressure against it has been a big question for a while, and the leading theory tends to be that the genes that cause homosexuality in males are associated with genes that result in greater success in non-homosexuals, or result in greater success in females.
For instance, consider the stereotype that homosexuals or transsexuals or whatever have more sex than the average person. This is a common claim about homosexuals which is probably true. Perhaps this is because there's a gene very close to a gene that causes homosexuality which causes promiscuity. So in straight individuals who have this gene, they have more children, which in turn propagates a closely related gene that can result in homosexuality.
On the other hand, homosexuality and transsexuality are not solely caused by genes, but also are dependent on prenatal hormone levels during brain development. A genetically normal male with abnormally low prenatal testosterone exposure might end up with incomplete masculinization of the brain, resulting in female-typical sexual behavior. This gene for female sexual behavior will never be selected out, because it's a successful gene in the majority of cases where it's expressed in women. And it's only expressed in men when they have abnormal hormonal characteristics in the womb, which in most cases isn't caused by genetic factors but environmental factors, so won't be subject to selection pressures.
but anyway the idea that homosexual males (who in general do not reproduce) are being genocided when they choose to self-castrate as part of transitioning is laughable, not only because they already have not been reproducing for all of human history and yet still exist, but also because IVF is a thing.
