listen to me dickeed. you can edit the html of your page as much or as little as you like. most leave it defaulty but you could literally remove everything if you wanted. it can be exactly like running your own wordpress, it's just that most people don't utilize it to the full extent one could. you are confusing the "vibe" of the site with the actual functionality. you don't even have to look at the "tumblr.com" dashboard at all...you can just have a tumblr site that looks exactly like a normal site and use it for those purposes while getting free engagement and seo if anyone happens to interact with your content via tumblr-as-social-media. that aside tumblr is also basically the only other large place that has almost no rules...the only reasons for bans are violent threats and suicide or eating disorder encouragement. literally anything else is allowed, just like 4chan, and there isnt even such a thing as a power tripping or biased janny for tumblr. it's just basically unmoderated. theres also picrel (literal horny moms) so can i rest my case?? the search on tumblr is kinda broken but you can just do an advanced search on google and enter tumblr.com for the site or domain. this works cause tumblrs are independent pages indexed by google, and not fake pages within an app thing...so you can use all google search tools to search tumblr rather than relying on in-app search functions.
