There is no hereditary condition that gives you a 100% chance of developing cancer. There are many things that can increase your risk aside from lifestyle factors such as genetics or the very wide range of carcinogens one could be exposed to, but all these things do is increase your risk in a very broad, poorly understood manner.

Yes, we know that women who carry a certain gene have a higher risk of developing breast cancer, but do we really know what that means? Do we know what effect personal lifestyle factors make on that increased risk? No, we don't really have any idea.

Also, developing cancer is portrayed as this doomsday scenario but the process of "curing" yourself of cancer is the same as the one for preventing it. Your body is constantly disposing of potentially cancerous cells and it is fully capable of curing both cancer and any other disease, so long as you provide it with the proper environment and nutrition to do so.

None of this is a dice roll. When someone is diagnosed with late stage terminal cancer and given an estimated few months to live, and proceeds to "somehow" not only survive but become cancer-free (and we have very many examples of this happening) then it's not because they just "got lucky". Their body did specific things in a specific manner in order to heal itself and if they can do it, so can you. The only difficulty is in understanding what exactly you should be doing to emulate these people.
