God I fucking hate this when DMing, especially if that fucking yokel acts like some retarded Christian peasant from medieval England and not a member of a fantastical world where magic is rife and monsters are everywhere.

Your yokel has dealt with fey (because yokel means near nature and nature is filled with fey) and undead (improper burials and lack of proper temple priests because your on the frontier lead to zombies and other things), has regularly had to deal with ROUSes and other "unnatural" animals (simple pests and the things that feed on them), and other things depending on local ruins and whether bandits, other humanoids, or monstrous humanoids live nearby.

You've regularly seen magic, either priestly or likely some retired adventurer, or just plain an adventurer who had to tackle some monster your poor little frontier farming community got attacked by in your youth. You've likely practiced some folk magic, the simple spells of the lay people, at best a cantrip but more like tiny rituals. You or someone you know definitely participated in the yearly crop growth ritual and witnessed the magic of that spill over your fields.

Also fuck your human fighter, be a fucking elf fighter or dwarf fighter or even a fucking halfing or gnome fighter for once.

This is a long running type of /pol/ thread that disguises playing as humans (and specifically European whites) without magic as the best and only thing to play because anything else is a betrayal of your race and involvement in degeneracy. These have gone on for a very long time and got their start during raids by certain /pol/ (read white nationalist, nazi, and such) based discords, forums, and sites trying to drive up recruitment via constant spam of certain propaganda to sway insecure idiots and drive a particular board culture.
