PD: congrats Chaos, you won in the end. I swear, the most powerful Chaos God is the one that feeds from bad writing. I can see Amazon alongside GW turning 40k into a multiverse (picrel), to milk it beyond death.

How do you handle this? How would the other NPCs around be reacting to this?
I have a player that seems to brazenly throw all normal social function aside and exalts his character "Above" social norms. For example, when traveling through a town they don't know, they were going around asking for information. When peasants ignored them, he said that he would grab them and demand they answer, yet got upset when they would take up arms to defend themselves.
Also, he does shit like runs into a duke's castle and demands the guard there help with personal conflicts. "OR THEY WILL BE MADE TO DO SO!" When asked how he would make them, he claims that he would go to the capital city and tell the king that he wouldn't help.
tl;dr I have a socially awkward retard whose antics give me narrative dissonance when I run for him. Short of kicking the guy out, (Because I otherwise like playing with him,) and other than talking to him about it (Let's assume that I have/am going to, but it won't/hasn't worked.) What are some in-game ways I can deal with this?

Thread Question(s): What would your character do if they found themselves in a festival to appease gods?
Always keep thinking about unique elven cultures, subraces and properties that could arise in various conditions, ranging from simple typical elven rangers in green tunics (which is, for some reason, my favourite type of elf, the smirking dungeon-going elven douchebag) to elfs whose societies and ways of life, motivations or even existence are too mind-bending for mortals to comprehend, my best ideas have come from just before falling asleep or when smoking w33d (there were certain times where I would just open notepad and write down random elven names and family history for particular elven lineage that would span from prehistoric times at creation to present and how the names have evolved/devolved with esoteric meaning within that setting; actually at that one time it was for a warcraft roleplay character) Obviously nobody would give a fuck even if I came up with the best possible concepts if I don't actually create anything.
In my mind's mental RPG world and lore, I have elfs living in an ancient elven "antmound", I've got elfs in UFO-flying-carpet-tents-pavilions, I have elfs in totemic-tree-casino-skyscraper-groves, I have ancient elfs who are like yautja and are the entire reason dwarfs and humans became friends in ancient times, elfs who devolved dwarfs into a race of beavers, basic elfs, dark elfs, dark wood elfs, chinese elfs, japanese elfs, islander elfs, banished arctic iron elfs, elfs that meditate themselves into existance, elfs that hatch, elfs that invade from inside paintings. I rlly can't stop with this shit, I wonder if I have ADHD or I have an elf in my brain or what.
Does anyone else suffer from something like this?

I know literally no one who is interested in trying this shit out. What was I thinking? I probably wasn't...
Now in this new one, after she somehow returned to the mortal plane, albeit lacking her powers (now and Eldrich Knight Fighter) she's been helping the party to find the bad evil lady throwing around necromancy and stuff, we've already fought a ton of her minions and hordes of undead and are now at level 15; basically a few sessions from actually fighting her and ending the campaign.
After delivering a shipment of clerics to help with a town infected by plague by a certain someone, she wanders about, trying to find a Broom of Flying for sale. She already has one such broom of her own, but our party's barbarian has already killed like three horses by this point, so she wanted to just give him one so the party would stop losing money buying replacement horses.
She walks into a broom emporium and asks the shopkeep if he has any brooms like hers. He smiles and says he has brooms that can 'go up and down', so naturally she buys one at a steal of just one silver piece. When asked for a demonstration, the shopkeep leads her outside, mutters a magic phrase and tosses the broom like a javelin; it lands with a surprising softness and took barely any damage. So, she decides to buy all 10 that he has in stock.
Now, our barbarian thinks it's an obvious scam, and to prove it takes one and hurls it with all his strength, the thing going like 60ft before landing. Surprisingly, the broom lands intact, with no damage that couldn't be taken care of with some polish. Enraged, he throws it again, some 90ft before accidentally hitting someone.

Are there any RPGs that use something similar? Instead of "rolling to hit vs AC", I would like to try something like "I take a high guard and wait for him to attack." being a viable option.
Maybe failures to hit by a certain amount indicate a loss of balance = becoming vulnerable to certain kinds of attacks or combos?

An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.

As I gradually weed out my old characters I started making my new ones specialize in escapes and stealth. I think I'm going to get kicked out of most of my groups for doing this shit, but I'm in so many that it would be good to clear my schedule a little bit anyways.
Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons as played in the game's first decade — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching meta-plots and a greater emphasis on player agency.

So you're telling me there is this esoteric art in your world that bends the rules of reality, and no one really knows how it works or where those powers come from, +90% of the population will never have any sort of contact with these powers, yet some have a natural knack for it, and DON'T use it to live as kings?

In any magical setting where the world is old and full of history, there should exist an elite that lives as gods among mortals, and said elite also prevents muggles from ever learning how to use magic before it gets out of hand, thus preventing any chance of being overthrown. You can come up with any bullshit reason why that isn't the case, but this is the only logical conclusion of magic.

I never understood having pride in 'lite systems'-- they will become crunchy over time as you document your rulings. The way to keep them 'lite' is to make your rulings unpredictable and undocumented; as a player you have to suspend your disbelief and never point out inconsistencies
The TTRPG law is that your table will become as crunchy as your nerd levels allow for. Kids will gut crunchy systems of rules they don't understand and nerds will make lite systems into homebrew hell

But when I was first exposed to BECMI D&D as a kid it blew my mind and I was a lot easier to please. This was very early internet so my D&D experience was 100% analog. Very early on I read this book and for some reason it made an impression on me, particularly because it added the "Engineer" class.
I'd completely forgotten about it until today when two random memories floated to the surface:

I've never watched West World but I know the concept. I couldn't remember a single other thing about the book. Just "D&D, Engineer, and West World". Lo and behold, 2 minutes of searching found it and another 2 minutes found the audiobook. I've listened to a few chapters now and I have absolutely zero memory of it, but this is 100% the book. Published in 1981 and it may well have invented litRPG and the West World concept. Very strange.

It is a Skirmish wargame. Two players with their own expeditions, on a hexgrid map, explore & fight each other for victory and profit.
