... why? Suppose you have 8 players at four symmetrical tables. Each player will play each table once, so they'll all get their most and least favourable terrain once. Its perfectly fair, arguably fairer than the same preset terrain every time. Even if we imagine that the tables are asymmetrical and some players will miss some tables, so what? Its still a tournament. no bottom tier player is making it to first because of a 5% advantage on one table, and those odds matter significantly less than bad matchups in the seeding anyway. No matter how you try to eliminate chance you're already gambling just by showing up, and the top players will be relying on that because they're playing the meta.
