Sure, but only because agriculture is a near and dear topic to me:

>General Food Production
The setting takes place on a supercontinent with fairly uniform *very* hot and humid weather. The world is mostly covered in dense jungle and when it isn't it's broken up by savanna, badlands, desert, and then more jungle. Because of these qualities most intelligent species and cultures still live a fairly consistent Mesolithic-adjacent subsistence lifestyle of hunting, gathering, and managing small gardens to provide starchy carbs (sweet potatoes, cassava, bananas, yams, taro, beans, etc) typically rare in nature.

>Mono-Crop Cereal Agriculture
Proper "sit down" cereal cultivation isn't terribly popular, but it's changed everything nearly everything about how: Humans, Halflings, Gnomes, Centaurs, and Orcs of all people, live their lives and in turn allowed them to become ridiculously plentiful. Wheat, millet, and sorghum, were present in all these people for a while, slowly forming the sedentary forms of their cultures, but it wasn't until Halflings domesticated rice (of which eventually got into the swine hands of Orcs) did populations truly get out of hand.
For humanity, though, it's corn. Corn is the exclusive crop of Humans and it is their alpha and omega. Humans have never been particularly good at agriculture, they vastly prefer herding cattle, but corn flipped a switch in their ecology.

>Pastoralism
Not technically vegetables, but this is what Humans, Centaurs, and Orcs, were doing before they were introduced to crops: wandering around, herding livestock, and living off meat and cheese. Most of the hatred between Orcs and Humans is escalating generational conflict over stolen cattle, and most of the Human and Centaur sex happened because they can't keep their hands off of each other in their travels.
