Of course there are some questionable recasters out there, but there are others with near flawless quality, especially when it comes to forgeworld stuff, but also the newer plastics.

And dont get me wrong, i would absolutely buy a new GW sprue that otherwise would cost 70, for 40 if i see it and wanted that model.
The problem is: I cant rely on such good deals on ebay. They exist, but you have to be lucky.

Lets use an example, because i recently ordered it from China: the new Krieg Command Squad as well as the Hells Last Command Squad.
Buying both from GW would cost me 35€ (Krieg) + 62,50€ (Cadians). Thats 97,50 for 11 a little bit more fancy guardsmen.
I payed 17,90 + 19,90 for both those squads, resulting in getting the Hells Last box almost for free. In percentage i saved 49% on the Krieg box, and almost 70% on the Hells Last box, and lets be real: I could wait ages to find a deal that good on ebay. Even horribly painted stuff often ends up costing at least 50-60% of GW prices these days.

For me, prices like that are totally worth the waiting time of some weeks, as well as the slight hassle of it being resin and not plastic.

Absolutely. Especially on Etsy, people sometimes charge crazy prices for prints, i've seen Leman Russ proxies there being more expensive than the actual GW model. (which i could get as a recast for 19€) Its insane.
