It isn't possible for Morgoth to make "Morgoth-stuff nano" which then as it corrupts Arda makes more of itself until the entirety of Arda is a big ball of Morgoth.

An apparent background assumption of his is that there is a fixed amount of evil in Arda. So when Morgoth puts his essence into Arda to corrupt it, it leaves less "evil" in Morgoth and he becomes lessened. And when Sauron puts his essence in a ring, it opens the possibility of Sauron losing the ring and becoming lessened.

Both good and evil IN Arda (possible exception Eru since he is outside Arda) is a fixed pie.
