I don't, but if they did it was wishful thinking because they want an alternative to GW for pick-up games at stores, and they want a game to seriously challenge GW dominance so that GW is forced to do better by their customers in order to retain them. As a club gamer myself this doesn't really matter to me.

If it happened, it was probably not intended to be an insult towards soi fanboys emotionally invested in the success of the products they simp because that's as close as they'll get to personal success, though it should be. As well as fanboyism being trashy and pathetic in general you're directly contributing to the conditions that lead to your exploitation and enshitten your game.
