I mean I guess any gap is a tolerance issue, but my head canon that tolerance issues are if the parts don't fit together.
This I'd consider a recasting issue, everything else fits but there wasn't enough resin in one part so now there's a gap.

However if Muscuto still has this particular one in stock I'd buy it from him cause working with GKMs stuff is more effort than I'm willing to put in currently
